Cait Morris creates original artworks in the form of wall-hangings, textured light fixtures, decorative rugs, and furniture coverings made from hooked yarn, with an emphasis on bold blocks of color, irreverent shapes, and wild fantasy.

With a background in modern and improvisational dance, southern folk crafts, yoga and meditation, silence, service, hospitality, alternative healing, death and grief support, theology and esotericism, and design study (New York School of Interior Design), her work is an effort to blur the boundaries between fine art, traditional craft, and material comfort.

Cait was born in the Shenandoah Valley in 1991 and influenced by television, the development and evolution of the internet, fashion, suburban paradox, surrealist film, Shakespearean theatre, east coast beaches, underground punk and hardcore music and literature, psychedelia, dream, romance, erotica, postmodern thought, labor politics, all things feminine, and a deeply felt connection to both the natural environment and the divine.

She believes in design as a tool to enhance our humanity.
